 My husband and I are starting a new company called
Nary Dairy, it's crazy good cheese made out of cashew nuts!  Huh?  What the, yeah well we'll be
starting to sell it in Feb, 2013 at the Studio City Farmer's Market every Sunday morning.
So, I made some farmer like signs.

I'm oil painting on Tuesdays with Julia Diller, thanks to my friend and illustrator Jeannie Hayden who gave me a great kickstart. This is the underpainting...watch for the progress.  I'm nervous just thinking about it.

Sandy Hook

These are sketches I drew after the Sandy Hook killings.  It hurt so much I didn't want to draw what I was feeling, but knew I had too.  What happened can't be ignored, that's why I'm sharing them on my blog.

I continued to sit at my table in the morning, not knowing what to draw.  I saw all these pieces of my life with my children that would normally end up int he recycling bin or garbage, and realized how important they would all be if my children were murdered.  How these little scraps of life have such an intense value now.  

Snowflakes, we are supposed to make snowflakes.  I will continue drawing and keeping these snowflakes in my heart and soul and try not to let them melt.

Family Portrait Series- Chagall Style

Here is another from my family portrait series that I created for my friends Brian and Cindy.  They actually have only 3 kids, but their youngest,  has a lot of personality, energy and well... he's five, and it's hard to capture his essence in one pose.  Brian is a talented musician and producer and all time family guy who really loves his wife and family.  Cindy is an amazing human, mother, designer, and one of my favorite people I have met out here in California.  Their oldest is a fantastic swimmer, reader and sweetheart who is just simply lovely and J is a great big brother, friend and a smart guy that is definitely going places.  I try to capture a families essence, and individuality and create something they will love forever.
