Woman Made Gallery

This is a great gallery in Chicago that I am proud to be a member of, check them out, and visit the juried members exhibition either in person or right here by clicking on the title.

The image is a photograph by one of the jurors Jody Magrady, it is entitled Soul Tree, and I think it is really cool.

El Monte final poster

Sunny and I took the train downtown to Union Station to "okay" the proof. It looks great, just a little adjusting with the sky and mountains, but it's actually going to go in all the buses and trains in LA in September! AND, I already received my check. Public art is cool.

Illustration Friday-"Cleaning" from THE DOMESTIC LANDSCAPE

These are from a series I did in 2004 entitled "the domestic landscape" You can click on the title and see more. This topic made me think about that again, I have so many sketches with this idea and only a few finished pieces, I guess I was too busy doing house work to finish them. ha ha ha.....ugh that is so sad.....

The Drawing Club-THE MATRIX

Matrix was the theme, and I just didn't feel like drawing a gun? So I put a little kitty kat where the gun was supposed to be. I know it's kind of silly and immature, but I just had to laugh at myself, and it did make me giggle, because her face and outfit were so serious, and well... atleast I got a kick out of it.

a glimpse into my childhood

I went back to Chicago for a long weekend with my family visiting my friends family....

Illustration Friday-"Sticky"

My friend "Sticky"

Storyboarding

I'm taking a storyboarding class at the American Animation Institute with Karl Gnass, this is a sneak peek into why I haven't been working on any other drawings or paintings. I had to pin all 91 drawings up last night and "pitch" it. I think I did okay, for my first time out, but am really lack in the technical, and those tiny little boxes really throw me in terms of perspective. I'm going to try and clean it up, and follow some of the great critique last night and I'll post it, post haste.

The Drawing Club-OLD TIMEY SWIMSUIT

Bridge

As I was walking across the LA River incased in concrete, I saw these cool wisps of clouds.
