Red Bubble Art Shop

I'm making art as much as possible in between the spaces of my hectic family life taking care of my Mom and kids.  Which means I'm pretty lacking in the promotional department.  Thankfully Red Bubble art shop has come to my rescue.  I'm uploading new images every week for sale! While I get get back to drawing, you guys can click here.

The Buddy Bench

A new mural at school!  The Buddy Bench.  Max was the model for "Buddy" the dog that helped turn this old overgrown wall into a place to make a new friend.

My favorite art store is having a show, "Once Upon A Time" so I made this Cinderella out of the Holiday Trader Joe's Bags.  I found chandeliers, dancing, music, wine and glass slippers...

"Hi-Dee" the Friendly Cow

I'm painting a cow!  She's really fun, and she's almost done, although having a simple design is sometimes harder than a more complicated one because the whole idea is to keep her fresh, light, whimsical and approachable.  It's for San Luis Obispo Cow Parade starting in September.  My sponsor is UPS and I'm thrilled to take part in this public event. Check back for the finished piece!
Here is my original design for her, she can teach you how to say Hello in over 30 different languages.

This is our world.

Summer is here.  I'm usually excited to go on outings with the family.  Maybe to a museum, the beach, neighborhoods, restaurants, parks and friends houses.  A time to explore the city we live.  I usually drink coffee and peruse the internet for local events.  Today, I wasn't very excited about what the world has to offer.

Crayons in protest

Enough is Enough!  We had to break out our Melt the Guns sign we made, again.

United Nations Fair at School

Every year my good friend Bipasha organizes the most fabulous United Nations Fair at Carpenter Community Charter School. She get parents to run a table, most of them have family roots for their booth, and some just want to help the kids explore a new place.    Each country offers food samples, displays, and some interactive stuff too.

Meryl Streep- in progress

Meryl Streep
Sometimes the hardest part about doing these pieces is knowing how far to take them, when to stop, or how much detail pursue.  A lot of beautiful things happen along the way, that I want our eyes to just fill in the rest.  So I took Meryl this far, I'll pause here and study her and the piece.
