Life Drawing 9- the model

He showed up and was so tall and lanky he was really fun to draw... again I was having trouble with forshortening and not turning him into a character. His long lines were just so.... long







These last poses were really hard, we had to draw him from the other side....Really working on knowing the figure and how to draw him from every angle.
Well, that's all for this class... it was tough and great. Awesome to spend an entire day devoted to drawing. I hadn't been able to do that since my daughter was born. Pre-school is so liberating! Next up I'm taking metaphorphisizing the figure into character! I can't wait for this one, although I'm sure I'm still not going to get away with my lack of foreshortening skills.

Life Drawing 9- no model

The model didn't show for the first half of the class, so we drew each other. Clothes? How do you draw actual clothes? One student, who is great, drew me, its the one in the sepia. I'm so serious?
